Reach Out combines fast-paced house with trance-driven chords and heart-racing drums. It has since become MALUGI’s most-streamed solo track on Spotify.
For the video, BURBAS followed MALUGI and his friends through Berlin and joined him at Melt Festival. Camcorder footage, high-resolution cameras, Insta360 material and graphic interventions were cut into a rough mixed-media film moving between city life and the energy of the stage.
Released in 2023, Reach Out combines fast-paced house with trance-driven chords, heart-racing drums and a euphoric hook. The film captures MALUGI just before the breakthrough while keeping the open, playful and approachable person behind the sets at its centre.
